Benjamin T. Andes, PE, CEM

Ben has more than 20 years experience working in the environmental and engineering fields. He has worked on storage tank, brownfield, and superfund sites, conducting site characterizations, remedial designs, construction oversight, and remediation system design, as well as operation and maintenance oversight. He has also developed National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits for storm water discharge, industrial water discharge, and erosion and sedimentation (E&S) control. Also, Ben has experience with air permitting for industrial sites. Ben is a licensed Professional Engineer in Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers.

Lindsay Dissinger

Has 19 years of experience in accounting within the environmental and engineering consulting industry. She supports the day‑to‑day operations and business functions at Synergy Environmental, playing a key role in keeping projects, communications, and internal processes running smoothly. She has extensive knowledge working with State insurance funds across the country, maximizing reimbursement amounts. She works closely with leadership and technical staff to coordinate administrative activities, assist with client and marketing communications, project budgeting, and to provide organizational support across departments.

Andrew Gingrich, LSRP

Andrew has more than 15 years of experience in the environmental industry, including site investigations, site remediation, and project management. He is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) in New Jersey. Andrew’s expertise includes the performance of Preliminary Assessments in support of the NJDEP Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA), soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion and ecological investigations. He has managed complex projects with elements of multimedia investigation/remediation, including the application of innovative technologies for insitu treatment of sail and groundwater. Andrew is also responsible for certifying and maintaining Synergy’s NJDEP certified laboratory program.

Christopher J. Horan, PG, LSP

Chris has over 40 years of experience providing services to industrial and commercial clients, governmental agencies, and water suppliers. His experience includes emergency response, site characterization, remediation, remedial construction, UST removal and installation, risk assessment, audits and compliance activities, pilot studies, and water supply. His responsibilities have included client and legal counsel support, cost estimating, project management, data analysis, technical review, and regulatory interface. He is a Licensed Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware and a Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts. He also holds Pennsylvania UMX and IUM certifications.

Dennis Libenson, LSRP

Dennis has more than 25 years of experience in the environmental industry, including site investigations, site remediation, and project management. He is a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) in New Jersey and a Professional Geologist (PG) in Pennsylvania. His background includes extensive private consulting experience and logging oil and gas exploration wells. Media sampled includes soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air.

He has extensive experience in aquifer testing, geology, and hydrogeology. As an LSRP in New Jersey, he has designed and overseen Preliminary Assessments, Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, and Remedial Actions. Cases were closed out by issuing Response Action Outcomes, whether under Remedial Action Permits issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection or as unrestricted case closure. He ensures compliance with requirements listed in the Remedial Action Permits.

Brian K. Loughnane, PG

Has 35 years of work experience as a hydrogeologist for several large national consulting and engineering firms. His experience includes project management or technical expertise in the following areas: CERCLA (Superfund), remedial investigations/feasibility studies, water supply Aquifer studies, Mine permitting, multi-flow rate and constant flow rate aquifer testing, packer testing, numerical groundwater low and contaminates, fate and transport modeling, indoor air quality assessments, soil gas surveys, groundwater treatment, underground storage tank management, borehole geophysical investigations, monitoring well installation, well development, soil and groundwater sampling, Brownfield’s redevelopment, hazardous waste management, and litigation support.

Mitchell Moss

Over 35 years’ experience in remedial project management, secure landfill facility management, industrial wastewater treatment operations, industrial construction, iron and steel plant operations, construction & operation of thermal treatment systems, technical marketing, interfacing with, and reporting to, regulatory agencies. Specialties: supervision of projects and project managers to insure profitable, safe and timely completion of projects.

David S. Robinson, LSRP

With over 30 years of experience as a project manager dealing with remediation of brownfields. He is a recognized expert in the evaluation and application of innovative a sustainable technologies for site remediation. Mr. Robinson has successfully managed the investigation and remediation of one of New Jersey’s largest Brownfields Development Areas (BDA), and he holds several patents for utilizing chemical oxidation for environmental remediation.

Gary J. Sheridan

Has 30 + years of experience managing and performing the fabrication of electrical and mechanical equipment, and has managed and assisted in the sales, design, and fabrication of over 50 remediation systems. His experience includes managing and performing installation, start up, and maintenance of SVE/Sparge systems, Thermal/Catalytic Oxidizers, Oil Water Separators, Dual Phase Extraction Systems and Electrical controls. Mr. Sheridan is certified in the repair of M-D Tuthill Positive Displacement blowers.

Jennifer L. Taylor, PE

A licensed Professional Engineer with more than 25 years of experience working in the environmental consulting field, managing projects for a broad range of private and federal clients. Her responsibilities have included solid waste, wastewater, stormwater, air and drinking water permitting; development and implementation of regulatory plans; construction quality assurance; industrial wastewater treatment plant pilot studies and design; site assessment and remediation; multi-media compliance audits and energy assessments; storage tank compliance; and environmental emergency response.

Andrew Thomas

Mr. Thomas has 35 years of experience working as a compliance and environmental manager. His work experience includes project management, preparation of proposals/budgets, cost tracking, selection/supervision of environmental/construction subcontractors. Responsibilities include coordinating/conducting and supervising Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Studies (RI/FS) at TSCA, RCRA and CERCLA sites, RCRA permitting, underground storage tank (UST) management and closure approval plans, managing/conducting Phase I Site Assessments/Phase II Hydrogeologic Investigations, hazardous waste management, remedial treatment systems, selection of analytical methods to identify source contamination, developing quality assurance/quality control (QA/QCA) procedures, RI/FS and site hydrogeologic investigation reports including compilation, analyses, and interpretation of site specific field/analytical data, generation of Isoconcentration and groundwater elevation maps, and aquifer/soil data interpretation to determine groundwater/vapor velocities, contaminant fate and transport, determination of drawdown /capture zones, and suitability for remediation systems, site closure reports, remedial action and corrective action work plans. Andy has been a NJDEP LSRP since the program inception.
